When choosing a restaurant, we often rely on online reviews. A positive comment can attract new customers, while a negative one can change your mind at the last minute. But how many of these opinions are truly authentic?

Fake reviews are now a widespread phenomenon. These are comments written by people who have never set foot in the establishment, perhaps inventing non-existent experiences. This distorts rankings, and readers risk making decisions based on untrue information.

A possible solution: the receipt as an "access key"

An innovative idea could be to link the review to the receipt . Upon payment, the customer would receive a unique code printed on the receipt or a QR code. To write a review, they would simply enter that code into the platform.

In this way:

  • Only those who have actually consumed it can leave an opinion.

  • Comments become more credible and reliable.

  • Consumers can trust the feedback they read more.

Why it's important

Online reviews should be, first and foremost, an act of sincere sharing, useful to those looking for a good place to eat and to those who work seriously. Tying reviews to the receipt would bring authenticity and transparency to a system that today, too often, allows itself to be tainted by false opinions.
