SaniDays Rome

I had the pleasure of participating in the panel discussion “Grains, Health, and the Local Area: Toward a New Balance” at SaniDays as a Food and Wine Expert & Nutrition Educator. During my presentation, I discussed how food today represents not only nourishment but also culture, health, the environment, and social responsibility.

I also explored the fundamental role of the family, schools, and digital communication in building proper nutrition education, highlighting how important it is, now more than ever, to be able to distinguish accurate information from the misinformation that often circulates on social media.

Finally, I would like to thank the entire organization for the great success of the event, as well as Dr. Rosario Zammuto and Dr. Roberto Tomei, with whom I had the pleasure of sharing this panel and this important opportunity for discussion.

Rome Future Week 2026

Feeding the Future: Alimentazione tra bio e social

A milestone that marked the beginning of a new journey.
I am proud to announce that Research Inside Food and People participated for the first time in Rome Future Week 2026, a significant recognition that marked a new phase in our commitment to research and outreach on food-related issues.

“Feeding the Future: Food Between the Biological and the Social” was a forum for discussion aimed at professionals, students, and enthusiasts interested in understanding how biological and social factors influence our relationship with food and the challenges of future food systems.

Euro-Global Conference on Food Science and Technology (FAT 2026)

In September 2026, I had the pleasure and honor of participating, alongside my colleague Dr. Beatrice Proietti, as a speaker at the 8th edition of the Euro-Global Conference on Food Science and Technology (FAT 2026), one of the world’s most important scientific events dedicated to the future and sustainability of food systems (“Safe, Smart & Sustainable Food Systems”).

The event took place in Rome from September 14 to 16, 2026, at the NH Roma Villa Carpegna Hotel. Over the course of these days, we presented the contributions and vision of our project, Research Inside Food and People, in person.

My presentation was titled “From roots to reality: Food communication between science, identity, and misinformation in the digital era.”

On this occasion, I addressed a topic that is very close to my heart and of great current relevance: how food communication has evolved in the digital age and what impact misinformation and fake news have on consumers’ daily choices and on the cultural identity linked to food.

It was an important opportunity to engage with scientists, technologists, and researchers from around the world to chart a course together based on scientific rigor and transparent communication.
